Wonderful food! They were able to manage my tricky allergies, which is really good of them to make things in a different way. Some of the food is spicy, but some isn't. But it was all full of flavors and unique.

Best coconut lemongrass soup and spicy curries. Good boba teas, family friendly atmosphere. I crave this place all the time and take guests here too.

Food is edible, but it took forever for them to take our orders and to bring our food.

Shane is the best and it is better that he is hosting and out front. The food is still great because they cook it exactly how he would. It is the best Thai food in the state!!

I absolutely LOVE 5 Star! It’s my favorite local Thai restaurant. The only problem is they have weird hours & aren’t ever open when we’re trying to order takeout.

I have loved this place from day one. The food is ALWAYS delicious and it doesn't hurt that the owner and his staff are the nicest people you could imagine. This will always be one of my favorite restaurants.

They have changed their menu to just thui food now.. No more Chinese food (super sad) but, the food was still great and the service was great like always.. Still one of my top 10 places to eat!!!

I usually go for lunch. Good amount of food, really tasty, and not expensive (normally $7). Added bonus they have bubble tea.

First visit, but very impressed with the quality of the thai curry I had. Friendly wait staff and generous portions in dinner combination. I really like the coconut fried shrimp as a nice change on a common side.

Delicious authentic Thai food. The staff is great, and the owner came and chatted with us.

We love the Thai food here. We order often. We like the jerky and sticky rice, a dish called Pad Pit Gateum, is delicious. It sits on cabbage and we get beef and the sauce is a peppery deliciousness. Their Pad Thai is the best, I've tried other places and they have the best hands down. We also tried their soup it had mushrooms, bamboo, lil corn in a chili lime soup. It was so good. Their papaya salad is very good as well.

Always a pleasure to eat here. We can't get enough of their green curry. We have enjoyed everything we've ever had there and the service is fantastic! Friendly and helpful.

Ate here with the wife food is good but not great but Jeff is very willing to work with you on any vegan option which was greatly appreciated

When you hear a cliche name like “Five Star” for a restaurant, your expectations usually drop pretty low. However, this place lives up to the name. Service and food exceeded expectations.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! Never ever disappointed. Our favorites include Tomka soup, beef and papaya salad, the garlic edamame, beef jerky, sticky rice, and much more. Never tried anything we haven't liked. Shane and his staff are friendly and personable. By far our favorite Thai restaurant to go to. You've got to try their Thai Tea too.

Pad Thai Is super yummy and full of meat and extras... jalapeño is perfect touch !

Disappointed. The 2 pieces of Boneless Short Ribs (which were on the bone?!?!?) had good flavor, but one piece, once I took the fat off, only had 2 bites of meat left on it. The Pad See Ew seemed to be all garlic, no sauce. It was pretty good, but it wasn’t Pad See Ew. Hate to judge a place on only 2 dishes from take out, but I probably won’t be back.

Perfect spot for lunch. Inexpensive and tasty. One of the cheapest lunches in the area.

The curry and coconut was great. So was there chicken pan thai . Super great staff.

Fantastic place. Food was unbelievable. Service top notch. Waitress was nice, personable and attentive. As new to the store she took time to help us with the menu. They deserve and have earned my continued business.

Well, if you want to spend a lot of money for some awesome flavor this is the place to go, however the portions are about half what you would expect, the one $14 entree we ordered was mostly sauce, with a few thin slices of beef, and a few slices of pepper, I guess they forgot all the other ingredients that we're supposed to be in the entree. Their medium spicy 🔥 is really more like a 9, .....$30.00 for two people and I was hungry an hour later. Used to be exceptional on the portions and a much wider selection on the menu. Probably will not go back. Picture should have a disclaimer that portions are much larger than they appear in the restaurant.

The Pad Thai and Panang are the best! The owner is super nice!

A favorite for fifteen years or so. My palate has changed quite a lot through the years, and Five Star has always been a very solid choice in Chinese or Thai when I'm in the area.Really fair prices and nice portions. The lunch combo is a fine value.Parking is pretty good too.

Great food and superior service during our visit. I have never been more accommodated as a Vegan in a thai restaurant. Our excellent waitress informed us that any dish can be made Vegan or Vegetarian upon request. I highly recommend for great Thai food in Roy!

Food was tasty! Sesame chicken was excellent. Part of a large party & it's not a large space, but we were comfortable. Staff was friendly & attentive. Will definitely go again.

Wonderful Thai food, so so good. Strange hours and not open on the weekend though.

I've been here a few times. Everything I've ordered off the Thai menu has been delicious, satisfying and a good value for the price. I order off the Chinese menu for my kids and it's mediocre at best. Drunken noodle is good (spicy dish) and the garlic beef is also delicious. The boba drinks are good... I like the taro, avocado or coconut.

Service was amazing. The food was not for me.

Been a customer for almost twenty years. This restaurant has effectively ruined sweet and sour sauce for me and my wife, simply because we have yet to find another place along the entire Wasatch Front that can even come close!I wish we still lived close to this restaurant, but it's a warm welcome to stop in whenever we are in the area.

Five Star deserves recognition for its amazing customer service! We're always treated like family and we will continue to be lifelong patrons for this reason. Shane and his team are the best of the best and they serve excellent food!

Love the Thai BBQ

Went for lunch and it was ok. Came back for dinner and the owner was awesome. Awesome food, thai BBQ is my favorite.

Very good. Yellow curry was fantastic.

Food is delicious, not much around to eat in the first place. They don't cook until you order it. Thai green curry in coconut milk delicious. No waiting in line. Place is big and clean. Decorations are unique. Little gem in Ogden. This place is so great! I was able to sample the curry before ordering and they even let me mix two of them to make my own curry!! I would absolutely recommend this place!!! Best curry in town!!!

Very nice staff, great Thai food

Staff are very personable and their service is on point all the time. I been coming here every other week for lunch with co-workers as well as going for dinner with the wife and this place does not disappoint.Thai food here is key, I don't get the Chinese so I cannot say if it's delicious or not but since their Thai food is top notch I am sure it just as yummy. I always start with the hot and sour soup and add some pickled jalapenos to give it a kick (recommended by Joe who works there). I will come here until the world ends, this place is so good.

I love 5 star! I come here once a year it was my brothers favorite restaurant. We used to go there to eat when I would visit. He passed away 9 years ago but I come here once a year to eat. It helps me remember the good times we spent together. The food is delicious. I recommend it to anyone!

Been going here for years because they had the best Chinese around. (Like seriously 3-4 times per month.) BIG mistake on the menu change in just serving tai now. Won’t be going back anymore.

Food was terrible. Service was good and the place is clean, but it was literally the worst Thai food I have ever had. We refused to pay for one of the dishes because it tasted so bad. Will never go there again.
